Little Horse Montessori is an in-home Montessori establishment, serving ages 2.5 to 6 years old, located in the beautiful Meadowview equestrian community of Temecula. The children have a unique high-quality educational experience while also being exposed to the care and education of horses. Such an exposure to farm activities, including gardening and caring for animals, fosters a healthy and grounded perspective that only hands-on experience can provide.

Our vision at Little Horse Montessori is to assist each child ’s self construction to learn and create intelligence by developing his/her intellect, character, and spirit through our thoughtfully planned environment. At Little Horse Montessori, your child will be encouraged to think creatively and work with innovation in order to create a lifetime of independence and self confidence. We seek to satisfy children’s hunger for purposeful activity and development while empowering them to become the unique individuals that they are.

Our Program

Our environment is designed to help children thrive educationally, socially, and psychologically. Little Horse Montessori children will explore their indoor and outdoor environments, which our designed to inspire their natural curiosity. The indoor environment consists of four major areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, and Mathematics.
Each child will be guided through these areas based on his/her individual stage of development. Exposure to farm animals and gardening will help build the child’s confidence and personal character.

About Maria Montessori

Dr. Maria Montessori, physician, anthropologist and pedagogue, studied children of all racial, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds for over fifty years. Her intense scientific observation of the human being from birth to maturity allowed her to distill a body of philosophical, psychological and pedagogical principles. .

These, together with a vast range of auto-didactic materials, came to be known as the Montessori Method of Education. .
